Auto Electricians | Sino Iron Mine


Looking for your next opportunity on a major construction project? We are seeking experienced Auto Electricians to join our team at the Sino Iron TSF Project. This role will support the delivery of large-scale tailings storage facility construction works, working across a diverse heavy mobile equipment fleet.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of mobile plant equipment across TSF construction activities. The fleet includes large-scale mining equipment such as CAT D11 dozers, Hitachi 3600 and 5600 excavators, Komatsu WA1200 wheel loaders, along with supporting the HV team on Komatsu 830E electric drive haul trucks.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of ancillary and production equipment Diagnose faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently
  • Diagnosing electrical faults and performing breakdown and preventative maintenance
  • Supporting HV Electricians with fault finding and maintenance on electric drive haul trucks
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records in AMT
  • Working in accordance with site safety procedures and company standards
  • Contributing to a high-performing team environment to ensure maximum equipment availability

What we're looking for

  • AUR30320 CERT III Automotive Electrical Technology trade certificate or equivalent
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability
  • Proven experience working on heavy mobile equipment
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
