National Group are seeking an experienced Production Superintendent – Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) to support civil and earthworks construction activities at the Sino Iron Mine in Western Australia.

This role works closely with the Construction Manager to deliver TSF construction works, ensuring safe efficient and compliant execution of works. Operating on an 8/6 day shift roster, this position plays a key role in coordinating crews, managing daily production targets and maintaining strong site performance.

About the Role

As the Production Superintendent, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of TSF embankment construction and associated civil earthworks.

Working in a back-to-back arrangement with the Construction Manager, you will lead supervisors and crews to deliver planned works safely and efficiently while maintaining alignment with engineering requirements and project schedules.

The project operates a large mining-class earthmoving fleet including Hitachi EX5600 and EX3600 excavators, Komatsu 830E haul trucks and CAT D11 dozers, supported by graders and ancillary equipment to deliver large-scale embankment and topsoil works.

You will play a key role in driving production outcomes, coordinating site activities and ensuring works are executed to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise day-to-day TSF construction activities, including embankment lifts and topsoil works
• Work closely with the Construction Manager to implement construction plans and schedules
• Lead and support supervisors, operators and subcontractors on site
• Monitor daily production performance and adjust activities to meet targets
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with engineering specifications and quality requirements
• Assist with short-term planning, resource allocation and work sequencing
• Maintain strong communication with site teams, engineers and client representatives
• Promote and uphold a strong safety culture across all work fronts

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 10+ years’ mining experience with 5 years minimum supervising bulk haulage for TSF, dumps and embankments
• Strong background in civil construction or large-scale mining earthworks
• Proven experience in a Superintendent or Senior Supervisor role within civil / mining / bulk earthworks projects
• Solid understanding of TSF construction methodologies and embankment development
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach to site delivery
• Ability to manage multiple crews and priorities in a dynamic environment
• Commitment to safety, teamwork and high-quality outcomes
