National Group are seeking an experienced Production Manager – Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) to lead Load and Haul activities at the Sino Iron Mine in Western Australia for a TSF embankment build.

This is a key leadership role responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of TSF embankment works, managing large-scale earthmoving operations and coordinating site teams to achieve project milestones.

About the Role

As the Production Manager, you will oversee The Load, Haul and Placement of quarried material to the clients work instructions. 

The role involves coordinating supervisors, operators and contractors to deliver safe and efficient construction outcomes while maintaining strong relationships with the client and engineering teams. The project operates a large mining-class earthmoving fleet including Hitachi EX5600 and EX3600 excavators, Komatsu 830E haul trucks and CAT D11 dozers, supported by graders and other ancillary equipment to deliver large-scale embankment and earthworks construction.

You will play a key role in planning, coordinating and driving productivity across the site while ensuring works are delivered to engineering specifications, schedule and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Load and Haul activities, including embankment construction and major earthworks to conformance
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, resource planning and work scheduling
  • Manage supervisors, operators and subcontractors on site
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with engineering specifications and project timelines
  • Monitor project performance, productivity and progress
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client representatives and project stakeholders
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all construction activities

What You’ll Bring

  • S26 Statutory Supervisor qualifications, good understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020, and Work Health and Safety (Mines) regulations 2022
  • Current WA C class drivers license.
  • Ability to maintain strong collaboration with the client TSF Planning, Survey, teams to align operational priorities, manage interfaces effectively,

and ensure seamless execution of the TSF construction plan.

  • Mining production background and ideally with 5+ years
  • Strong background in large-scale mining earthworks
  • Proven experience managing large operational teams in a mining or civil environment
  • Solid understanding of TSF construction methodologies and dam lift development would be beneficial
  • Strong leadership, ability to drive positive change, excellent contractor client relationship skills.  communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑based environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, capability to confidently engage,
  • Influence and collaborate with company and client.
