Digger Fitters – Sino Iron Mine (TSF Project)


Looking for your next big move in mining? We’re seeking experienced, trade-qualified Digger Fitters for stage two of our Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) project at Sino Iron Mine. This is a great opportunity to work on class-leading excavators in a large-scale civil/mining environment.

The Role

Working across the TSF project, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing large-scale mining excavators, including Hitachi EX5600 and EX3600 diggers, along with associated ancillary equipment.

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing Hitachi 5600 and 3600 excavators and related HME
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs safely and efficiently
  • Completing accurate maintenance records via AMT
  • Following site procedures and safety standards
  • Collaborating with a tight-knit team to minimise equipment downtime

What we’re looking for

  • Heavy-Duty Fitter or Plant Mechanic trade certificate
  • HR driver’s licence (preferred)
  • Experience working on large mining excavators (Hitachi experience highly regarded)
  • Clean shaven or willing to wear a PAPR mask, in designated areas
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
